AVAILABLE AWD TRACTION SELECT SYSTEM
Available All-Wheel-Drive models feature the following modes:
  • FWD: Optimizes fuel economy in normal/everyday driving conditions by mechanically disconnecting the rear axle and eliminating the drag it causes.
  • AWD: Actively sends power to the front and rear wheels to optimize traction on dry, wet or snow- and ice-covered roads. 
  • OFF-ROADS: Adjusts the AWD system, traction control and stability control to improve traction and driving dynamics on dirt, gravel or sand. 
 
FWD TRACTION SELECT SYSTEM
As driving conditions change, the standard Traction Select System allows you to make real-time adjustments for optimal capability. Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) models feature a Normal mode and a Snow mode, which helps lessen the chance of wheel slippage in low-traction driving conditions.
 
1.5L TURBOCHARGED ENGINE
This new powerhouse engine boasts a 9-speed transmission, 175 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque.

This available feature uses multiple cameras to display a digital overhead image of the area around your vehicle along with the Rear Vision Camera or front views. It works at low speeds and may help you park and avoid nearby objects. You can select additional views on your camera display. Available on SLT, AT4, and Denali.

With available Alexa Built-In, you can use voice commands to stream your favorite music, get directions, make calls, change your radio and more - on the go. 
 
REMOTE ACCESS 
PLAN
The myGMC mobile app remote technology, now comes standard with your new 2023 Terrain (built after October 12, 2022), lets you control many of the features from your mobile device for 3 years through the remote access plan. Plan highlights include:

  • Remote Key Fob allows you to start your vehicle, lock and unlock the doors, sound the horn and flash the lights, and even warm up your vehicle on a cold morning. 
  • Vehicle Locate, allows you to view your vehicle's approximate location on a map.
  • On-Demand Diagnostics, allows you to check your vehicle's key operating system like the engine, transmission and more in real time - with the help of an OnStar Advisor
  • Send-to-Vehicle Navigation allows you to pre-plot your trip by sending a designation to your vehicle's built in Navigation system from the app.
 
BUILT-IN NAVIGATION
Terrain's Navigation system is available to help guide you to your destination based on current traffic conditions. Standard on Denali. Available on SLE, SLT and AT4.

Safety or driver assistance features are no substitute for the driver's responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all time. Visibility, weather and road conditions may affect features performance. Read the vehicle Owner's Manual for more important feature limitations and information.
Following Collision Alert

This feature can warn you if it detects a potential front-end collision with a vehicle you're following so you can quickly take action. It can also provide a tailgating alert if you're following a vehicle much too closely.
Following Distance Indicator

This feature displays the gap time in seconds between your vehicle and a detected vehicle you're following. This can help you decide if you're following much too closely.
Front Pedestrian Braking

This feature can help you avoid or reduce the severity of a front-end collision with a pedestrian it detects directly ahead of you. It can provide pedestrian alerts and is designed to automatically provide hard emergency braking or enhance the driver's hard braking. The system works at speeds below 80 km/h during the daytime. It has limited nighttime and low-visibility performance.
IntelliBeam - Auto High Beams

When driving conditions are dark, IntelliBeam - Auto High Beams can automatically turn the vehicle's high-beam headlamps on and off according to surrounding traffic conditions.
Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning

This feature uses a brief, gentle steering wheel turn to help alert you when you may be unintentionally drifting out of detected lane lines, so you can steer to stay safely in your lane. If needed, you may receive additional Lane Departure Warning alerts. System alerts do not occur if you're using your turn signal or it detects you may be intentionally leaving your lane.  
Automatic Emergency Braking

This feature works with Forward Collision Alert to help you avoid or reduce the severity of a front-end collision with a detected vehicle you're following. This feature works at speeds below 80 km/h. Camera technology is used to automatically provide hard emergency braking or enhanced the driver's hard braking.

In addition to the six features above, GMC Pro Safety Plus offers an available extra set of advanced safety technologies. Standard on Denali.
 
AVAILABLE LANE CHANGE WITH ALERT WITH SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT
The safety feature can provide side-mirror visual alerts when a detected moving vehicle is quickly approaching or is in your side blind zone. It can help you avoid lane change collisions. Standard on Denali. Available on SLE, SLT and AT4.
 
AVAILABLE REAR
PARK ASSIST
This feature provides distance alerts to nearby detected objects behind your vehicle to help you park and avoid collision when you're in Reverse at low speeds. Standard on Denali. Available on SLE, SLT and AT4.

TRAFFIC ALERT
This feature can warn you of detected left or right cross traffic behind your vehicle when you're in Reverse. Standard on Denali. Available on SLE, SLT and AT4.
